Wellgistics to Integrate XRP Payments Across 6,000 US Pharmacies in $50M Financing Initiative

Wellgistics Health, a leading pharmaceutical supply chain and technology company, has announced a landmark initiative to integrate XRP (XRP) as both a treasury asset and core payments infrastructure throughout its nationwide pharmacy network.

The move is part of a $50 million capital facility arranged through LDA Capital, aimed at supporting the deployment of an XRP-powered payment framework across more than 6,000 independent pharmacies and over 150 manufacturers in the US. Wellgistics will leverage XRP's blockchain to facilitate near real-time, on-ledger payments between pharmacies, distributors, and manufacturers, bypassing traditional ACH systems and reducing transaction times from days to seconds.

XRP will serve dual functions in the Wellgistics system: as a balance sheet holding providing efficient liquidity, and as the native asset enabling fast, auditable settlements. This strategy is designed to accelerate rebate settlements and credit provisioning for pharmacy partners, enhancing operational efficiency and capital velocity within the healthcare sector.

The $50M equity line facility gives Wellgistics discretion to draw capital as needed, with the potential to issue shares in exchange for funds. While the deal introduces the risk of shareholder dilution, it is expected to transform the company’s payment and treasury operations.

The timing coincides with broader developments for XRP in institutional markets, such as CME Group's upcoming launch of XRP futures products, which could further boost XRP’s liquidity and reputation among corporate users. Regulatory clarity remains a consideration, but recent legal outcomes and supportive government sentiment have improved the outlook for XRP-based corporate initiatives.

The initiative positions Wellgistics as a pioneer in adopting blockchain-based financial infrastructure in healthcare, seeking to replace slow, manual finance flows with distributed ledger solutions that cut costs and streamline operations.
