Zerebro Meme Coin $LLJEFFY Crashes After Developer's Faked Death Is Exposed

Zerebro creator Jeffy Yu was found alive at his parents’ house in San Francisco after a livestreamed video allegedly showing his suicide went viral. The video and an online obituary led to a massive 2,000% rally in his Solana-based meme coin, $LLJEFFY, reaching a market cap of $105 million. However, blockchain analysis quickly revealed suspicious wallet activity, as Yu's deployer wallet was buying up the token following the supposed death, casting doubt over the tragedy.

The hoax unraveled when reporters confronted Yu and authorities confirmed that no death matching his profile had occurred. The obituary was taken down shortly after. As the truth emerged, $LLJEFFY crashed by nearly 87% within an hour, falling to a $13.8 million market cap. Community sentiment turned negative, accusing Yu of orchestrating a 'pseudocide' to profit from the meme coin frenzy. Yu later claimed he had been 'doxxed' and harassed, stating safety concerns for himself and his family. There is so far no public comment from law enforcement or indication of an ongoing investigation.
