Bitget Wallet has introduced a new 'Scan to Pay' feature integrating Solana Pay and VietQR, streamlining both cryptocurrency and fiat payments within a single QR code scanning system. Announced at the Solana Summit in Da Nang, Vietnam, the feature allows users to pay with any Solana-based token or Vietnamese fiat currency seamlessly.

The integration supports native Solana blockchain payments, compatibility with VietQR terminals, and enables online and offline transactions. This development reduces complexity by eliminating the need for multiple apps or manual conversions between crypto and fiat currencies.

Bitget Wallet's COO, Alvin Kan, highlighted the company’s mission to make cryptocurrency practical for everyday use beyond trading and holding.

The system detects the transaction type automatically upon scanning and processes it accordingly, supporting stablecoins like USDC on the Solana network and local fiat payments via VietQR.

Additionally, Bitget Wallet offers users access to Jupiter DEX trading, staking SOL, cross-chain swaps, MEV protection, gas fee coverage, and thousands of Solana-based decentralized apps, reinforcing its role as a comprehensive platform for exploring Solana’s ecosystem.

This integration also points to a broader industry trend of bridging blockchain technology with traditional financial infrastructure, especially in Southeast Asia, where mobile-first QR payments are prevalent.

The feature could accelerate crypto adoption by making digital assets more usable in daily commerce and potentially serve as a model for other regions where QR payments dominate.
