World Liberty Financial (WLF), a Trump-family-backed DeFi firm, has issued a cease-and-desist letter to Fight Fight Fight LLC and Magic Eden over the launch of an unauthorized $TRUMP Wallet. The project, announced by Fight Fight Fight LLC in partnership with Magic Eden, sought to provide a wallet for the Trump-branded memecoin and other digital assets without WLF's consent. The cease-and-desist demands the halt of all development and promotion due to unauthorized use of the 'TRUMP' name.
WLF, partly owned by Donald Trump’s children, maintains exclusive rights to Trump-affiliated crypto ventures and plans to launch its own official Trump crypto wallet through internal channels. Members of the Trump family, including Eric and Barron Trump, have publicly disassociated from the unofficial wallet, reinforcing that their organization and advisors had no involvement in the project. The incident exposes internal disputes among Trump-linked crypto entities, particularly between WLF and Fight Fight Fight LLC, headed by longtime Trump associate Bill Zanker.
Magic Eden, a prominent NFT marketplace and infrastructure partner for the project, has remained silent since the cease-and-desist notification. The ongoing conflict and legal actions highlight challenges in branding rights and ecosystem control within politically connected crypto projects. Following the controversy, Magic Eden’s native ME token experienced a sharp price drop of over 9%. The halt in the unauthorized wallet rollout and the internal friction underscore the complex and fragmented nature of Trump’s crypto ecosystem.
