Jeffrey Wilcke, Ethereum co-founder and primary developer of the Go Ethereum (Geth) client, transferred 9,840 ETH (valued at $9.22 million) to Kraken exchange during Ethereum's recent price rally. The transaction occurred as ETH reached a new 2025 high of $4,217, following a 21% weekly surge.

According to on-chain data, Wilcke retains 95,897 ETH ($401.6 million) in the originating wallet and controls another wallet holding 268,732 ETH ($1.13 million), 1.13 million Status (SNT) tokens ($32,920), and 951,264 Ethereum Name Service (ENS) tokens ($27,940). This follows his redistribution of 105,737 ETH across eight wallets three months prior.

The move coincides with growing institutional interest in Ethereum, though Wilcke's motives remain undisclosed. As a pivotal figure since Ethereum's 2014 founding and architect of the widely used Geth client, his transactions draw significant market attention amid ongoing price volatility debates.
