Tether Holdings SA has partnered with Rumble Inc. to introduce a cryptocurrency wallet featuring the newly launched USAT stablecoin and other digital currencies, including USDT. The wallet is set to launch later this year and will target Rumble's 51 million active monthly users, providing a seamless way to interact with stablecoins.
Tether holds a 48% stake in Rumble after investing $775 million in 2024, strengthening its influence over the platform. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino emphasized the opportunity, stating, "Rumble’s user base is already large, and this partnership will help us expand adoption in the US." This move aligns with Tether's re-entry into the U.S. market, supported by the GENIUS Act, a federal stablecoin regulation signed into law in July 2025.
USAT is a dollar-backed stablecoin designed to comply with American regulatory standards and compete with rivals like Circle's USDC. Bo Hines, former White House crypto advisor, leads the USAT initiative. Additionally, Tether plans to raise up to $20 billion by selling a 3% stake, valuing the company at nearly $500 billion, with funds directed toward AI projects, including an offline language translation app for developing regions.
