Wallet in Telegram, a third-party crypto wallet integrated into the messaging app, has partnered with Kraken and Backed to offer tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through the xStocks platform. The rollout begins in October 2025 with an initial set of 35 tokenized assets, including shares of major companies like MicroStrategy (MSTR), Nvidia (NVDA), Coinbase (COINX), Circle (CRCLX), Robinhood (HOODX), and TON Strategy (TONx).
The service will be accessible under a new "Stocks and ETFs" section in the wallet, with plans to expand the offering to over 60 assets by the end of 2025. Emerging markets are prioritized in the first phase, though specific eligible countries were not disclosed. The integration emphasizes regulatory compliance, with each tokenized asset fully collateralized 1:1 with the underlying stock or ETF.
Notably, Bitcoin ETFs are excluded from this offering, though Bitcoin itself remains available for purchase in the custodial wallet. By the fourth quarter of 2025, support will extend to TON Wallet, Telegram's self-custodial solution, marking a broader push into tokenized finance. This move follows Telegram founder Pavel Durov's recent revelation of his early Bitcoin investments, though it is not directly tied to the partnership.
