Binance Supports MANTRA and MultiversX Network Upgrades with Temporary Transaction Suspensions

27.10.2025 13:35

Binance has announced its support for network upgrades on the MANTRA (OM) and MultiversX (EGLD) blockchains, temporarily suspending deposits and withdrawals to ensure a smooth and secure process. According to the Binance Support Portal, this measure is standard practice to facilitate safe synchronization and integration during upgrades, with trading activities remaining unaffected to minimize market disruptions.

The MANTRA (OM) network upgrade is scheduled for October 27, 2025, at block height 9,664,888, approximately at 10:51 AM UTC. Deposits and withdrawals for OM will resume automatically once the network stabilizes post-upgrade. Following this, the MultiversX (EGLD) upgrade will occur on October 30, 2025, starting around 8:00 PM UTC, with transfers disabled one hour prior as a precaution. Binance clarified that users do not need to take any action, as the upgrades will be handled automatically by the platform.

These upgrades are designed to enhance network performance, streamline transactions, and improve node synchronization, potentially serving as a turning point for investor sentiment amid prolonged price stagnation for both tokens. Binance has previously managed similar upgrades for networks like Ethereum and BNB Chain, reinforcing its routine protocols that typically avoid significant market volatility. The exchange's commitment to security and technological improvements aligns with industry best practices, ensuring asset safety during these enhancements.
