Polymarket, a decentralized prediction market platform built on the Polygon blockchain, has entered into a multi-year partnership with PrizePicks, the leading daily fantasy sports operator in North America. The collaboration, announced on November 11, 2025, will integrate Polymarket's real-world event contracts—covering sports, entertainment, and culture—directly into the PrizePicks app, enabling users to engage in prediction markets alongside traditional fantasy sports.
PrizePicks, which boasts an estimated 2-5 million users across 45 states, aims to diversify its offerings beyond real-money fantasy games. Mike Ybarra, CEO of PrizePicks, emphasized the strategic move: "As the No. 1 daily fantasy sports operator in the U.S., PrizePicks is thrilled to partner with Polymarket, a trailblazer in the prediction space, to open up new experiences for our millions of existing members and introduce our platform to millions of new customers."
The partnership supports Polymarket's re-entry into the US market after a four-year absence, with PrizePicks' registration as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) by the National Futures Association (NFA) facilitating CFTC-regulated derivative products. Shayne Coplan, Founder and CEO of Polymarket, noted, "PrizePicks has built one of the nation’s most exciting sports communities, and we are excited to help bring prediction markets into that world," highlighting the potential to enhance fan engagement through regulated access.
Polymarket has demonstrated robust growth, with November volumes hitting $864 million—nearly equaling September's total in just 11 days. Key active markets include the Federal Reserve's December decision (over $72 million in volume) and the US Government shutdown (over $30 million). However, the platform faces scrutiny from a Columbia University study alleging that up to 60% of its trading volume may be artificially inflated through wash trading, a practice observed in decentralized finance (DeFi). Despite this, the partnership marks a significant step in expanding prediction market adoption.
