HyperPlay Labs Inc. announced the launch of CoinFello at DevConnect in Buenos Aires, Argentina, marking the debut of the first self-sovereign AI agent designed to use and automate any smart contract protocol. CoinFello features a simple chat interface that understands on-chain context, executes user intents, and automates interactions in plain language, aiming to solve key user experience barriers in decentralized finance (DeFi).

Built on EigenCloud and the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit from Consensys, the platform ensures users retain full custody of their funds while leveraging advanced AI. It allows delegation from existing MetaMask wallets or creation of new ones within the app, abstracting complexities like gas fees, chain selection, and cross-chain transactions. For instance, users can automate fund reallocation to prevent liquidations, addressing events like the $1.7 billion+ in liquidations on Ethereum and EVM-compatible networks in October 2025.

Jacobc.eth, Founder and CEO of CoinFello, stated, "Self-sovereign AI solves many of the fundamental user experience problems for interacting with dApps and DeFi protocols." Sreeram Kannan of EigenCloud emphasized the partnership's role in delivering "verifiable, deterministic, and self-sovereign AI" for crypto users. CoinFello is currently in private alpha testing, with a public release scheduled for Q1 2026.
