Social media influencer and former professional fighter Andrew Tate has been labeled one of the worst traders in cryptocurrency following a series of devastating liquidations on the decentralized perpetual exchange Hyperliquid, resulting in cumulative losses exceeding $800,000. According to blockchain analysis from Arkham and Onchain Lens, Tate's account balance plummeted to just $984 after a recent $112,000 liquidation on November 18, 2025, when his Bitcoin long position was wiped out as BTC prices fell below $96,000.

Tate deposited $727,000 into Hyperliquid, with all funds remaining on the platform and eventually liquidated through aggressive leveraged trading. His trading history reveals a pattern of poor decisions, including a $597,000 loss in June 2025, a $67,500 loss on a World Liberty Financial (WLFI) token long in September, and a $235,000 BTC long liquidation at 40× leverage on November 14. He attempted to recover using $75,000 in referral income, but those funds were also lost in subsequent trades.

Analyst Param noted, 'Andrew Tate is now fully liquidated on Hyperliquid... he earned the money through referrals and traded that money on HL again and again.' Tate executed over 80 trades with a win rate of only 35.5%, accumulating $699,000 in losses within months. This case echoes other high-profile losses on Hyperliquid, such as James Wynn's $23 million wipeout and Qwatio's $25.8 million liquidation, underscoring the extreme risks of high-leverage derivatives trading in volatile crypto markets.
