Ondo Finance, a leading provider of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), has significantly expanded its offerings by adding 98 new tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to its Ondo Global Markets platform. This move brings the total number of tokenized equities available through Ondo to over 200. These assets are live on both the Ethereum and BNB Chain blockchains, providing broader access for traders and investors.
In a parallel development, cryptocurrency exchange Bitget announced a deepened collaboration with Ondo, listing the same 98 new US stocks and ETFs on its platform. This integration allows Bitget users to gain exposure to traditional financial markets directly from the exchange's multi-asset trading environment. The new assets span a diverse range, including short-duration Treasury strategies like the SGOV ETF, major US companies across technology, energy, and healthcare sectors, and international growth names such as Bilibili (BILI), Pinduoduo (PDD), and Grab (GRAB). Commodity-linked instruments like the SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) and the United States Oil Fund (USO) are also included.
The expansion underscores the growing momentum for integrating traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi). Tokenized equities represent traditional stocks and ETFs as blockchain tokens, offering benefits like 24/7 trading, fractional ownership, and permissionless access. For crypto-native investors, this provides familiar financial products without leaving the blockchain ecosystem, potentially improving liquidity and utility within decentralized applications.
