VILNIUS, Lithuania – BTCC, the world's longest-serving cryptocurrency exchange, has reported a record-breaking performance for 2025, with total trading volume reaching $3.7 trillion and its global user base growing to 11 million, marking a 60% year-over-year increase. As the exchange approaches its 15th anniversary in 2026, it is strategically pivoting towards integrating AI-powered trading tools and significantly expanding its real-world asset (RWA) offerings.
Detailed 2025 Performance Metrics revealed that futures trading dominated activity with $3.27 trillion in volume, while spot trading accounted for $431 billion. A standout growth area was tokenized real-world asset (RWA) trading, which saw quarterly volumes surge from $1.2 billion in Q1 to $22.7 billion in Q4. For the full year, total tokenized futures volume amounted to $53.1 billion, representing an 18-fold increase.
The exchange maintained its commitment to transparency throughout the year with monthly Proof of Reserves (PoR) reports, consistently showing reserves above 100%. Product enhancements included a site-wide UI refresh, an updated VIP program, and integration with TradingView for futures trading.
Global Expansion and Brand Recognition were key focuses in 2025. BTCC expanded its presence through major industry events like TOKEN2049 in Dubai and Singapore, hosted a Summer Festival in Tokyo, and organized an MVP Night during Taipei Blockchain Week. The exchange also sponsored charity golf events by the Red Eagle Foundation, raising over $100,000.
A significant brand partnership was forged with NBA All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr., who became BTCC's first global brand ambassador. This collaboration aims to bridge sports and cryptocurrency communities. BTCC's efforts were recognized with industry honors, including the Best Centralized Exchange (Community Choice) award from BeInCrypto.
Strategic Priorities for 2026 are built on three core pillars:
1. AI-Powered Trading Features: BTCC plans to integrate artificial intelligence across risk management and trade execution optimization tools, catering to both professional traders and mainstream users.
2. Real-World Asset Expansion: Capitalizing on the explosive growth in 2025, the exchange will significantly broaden its RWA product suite, adding new asset classes and trading pairs.
3. Next-Generation Trading Platform: The launch of a comprehensive trading system is planned, spanning derivatives, spot markets, and multi-asset matching engines. A new wealth management feature will offer diversified strategies for different risk profiles.
"15 years in this industry has taught us that the real risk isn't change but standing still," said Marcus Chen, Product Manager at BTCC. "Our focus for 2026 is translating operational experience into speed: building what traders need for where markets are heading, not where they've been."
Founded in 2011, BTCC now serves over 11 million users across more than 100 countries.
