Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has introduced two new account modes on its Bybit TradFi platform designed to simplify access to traditional financial markets for both novice and experienced traders. The launch of Zero-Fee mode and Tight-Spread mode provides users with clear choices for trading assets like gold, foreign exchange (FX), and stocks based on their cost preferences and experience level.
Both modes operate on industry-standard foreign exchange brokerage models, with the key difference being how transaction costs are handled. The Zero-Fee mode incorporates trading costs into the spread, eliminating separate commission charges and making it particularly beginner-friendly. This allows users to start trading gold and other TradFi products immediately without complex fee calculations.
In contrast, the Tight-Spread mode offers narrower spreads with a transparent commission structure, catering to more active traders who prioritize precise pricing and tighter market execution. To streamline onboarding, Zero-Fee mode is set as the default option for all new TradFi users.
Users can switch to Tight-Spread mode after accumulating a total TradFi deposit of at least 3,000 USDT in their account and having no open positions or pending orders. Account mode changes can be completed through both the Bybit app and web platform within the TradFi trading interface.
This development builds on Bybit's significant TradFi product expansion throughout 2025, which included the introduction of U.S. stock CFD trading, expanded access to gold and FX trading, and completed web integration for seamless web-based trading. The service is powered by Infra Capital, a Mauritius FSC licensed entity, and is not available to residents of the European Economic Area among other regional restrictions.
