Ripple has announced the XRP Community Day 2026, a global virtual event scheduled for February 11-12, 2026, where it will unveil significant updates to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem. The event will feature three live X Spaces sessions hosted by Ripple, covering the EMEA and Americas regions on February 11, and the APAC region on February 12.
A key segment of the event, titled "XRP Features: What’s Live and What’s Next," will take place on February 11 at 1:55 PM ET. This session will be led by RippleX executives including Ayo Akinyele, Head of Engineering; Jasmine (Jazzi) Cooper, Head of Product; and engineer Mayukha Vadari. Community members Vet and Krippenreiter will moderate the discussion.
The session promises to deliver the latest developments across several critical areas for the XRP Ledger. These include advancements in programmability, privacy, compliance, and the native lending protocol (XLS-65/66). The discussion will focus on how these roadmap features translate into increased utility for XRP, supporting the growth of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications on the network.
RippleX has also detailed its Institutional DeFi roadmap in a recent blog post, emphasizing how XRPL is progressing toward everyday institutional use. The roadmap positions XRP at the center of settlement, foreign exchange (FX), collateral, and on-chain credit. Key focus areas for 2026 are lending, privacy, and permissioned on-chain markets.
Specific features highlighted include the Permissioned DEX, the Lending Protocol, Confidential Transfers for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) scheduled for release in Q1 2026, Smart Escrows, MPT DEX Integration, and an Institutional DeFi Portal. A major development set for later in the year is the introduction of native on-ledger credit markets through the Lending Protocol. This protocol will enable XRP to be used for borrowing and lending and will serve as the default bridge asset in FX flows and settlement.
