KuCoin, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, has announced its participation in the Consensus Hong Kong 2026 conference, scheduled for February 10–12 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The exchange will join a featured panel titled "Turning Intelligence Into Action" to discuss how the industry can leverage market data, on-chain signals, and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance practical safeguards and governance.
Edwin Wong, Vice President and Head of Risk Control at KuCoin, will represent the platform alongside other industry leaders. The discussion will focus on translating intelligence into actionable decisions that improve user protection, institutional risk management, and overall market resilience. The panel will also explore how platforms can apply real-time insights to bolster market integrity as AI adoption grows in financial services.
The announcement highlights KuCoin's ongoing regulatory expansion. The exchange noted that its European entity has officially obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) license in Austria, a move it describes as a "defining milestone" in its long-term Trust and Compliance strategy. Furthermore, in Australia, KuCoin's subsidiary has been registered as a Digital Currency Exchange (DCE) under AUSTRAC, bringing it under formal regulatory oversight.
Beyond regulatory milestones, KuCoin recently co-hosted the 2026 World Laureates Summit (WLS 2026) with the World Laureates Association in Dubai, where it contributed to discussions on how blockchain and AI can support scientific collaboration and public governance.
Founded in 2017, KuCoin serves over 40 million users across more than 200 countries and regions, offering access to over 1,000 tokens, spot and futures trading, and a Web3 wallet. The platform holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 security certifications.
