Bybit EU, the European arm of the global cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, has entered into a three-year title partnership with the historic Stockholm Open tennis tournament. The agreement, announced on February 10, 2026, will see the ATP Tour event renamed the "Bybit Stockholm Open" from 2026 through 2028.
The partnership represents a significant long-term commitment from the MiCAR-licensed crypto-asset service provider, which is headquartered in Vienna. As part of the deal, the tournament will reclaim its classic "Stockholm Open" name, moving away from its recent "Nordic Open" moniker, a move intended to reinforce its historic identity and ties to Swedish tennis.
Gustav Buder, Regional Partner Nordics at Bybit EU, stated the tournament's strong history, credibility, and audience that values long-term commitment made it a natural fit. "The partnership represents an important step in establishing trust and a durable presence in the Nordic market," Buder said.
Bybit views the Nordic region as a strategically important market and considers the Stockholm Open a key platform for building brand presence. The tournament, founded in 1969 by former player Sven Davidson, attracts approximately 30,000 spectators annually each October at Stockholm's Royal Tennis Hall. Its audience, which has a strong interest in finance and business, aligns closely with Bybit EU's target client profile.
The partnership will enable Bybit to engage its premium clientele through its VIP program, offering curated access to the tournament and bespoke experiences. Rasmus Hult, CEO of the Bybit Stockholm Open, highlighted the tournament's extensive experience with financial sector partners and views Bybit as a strong, long-term ally in the event's development.
This sponsorship coincides with Bybit EU's planned launch of its services in the Nordic region in 2026. Bybit Group is one of the world's fastest-growing crypto platforms, boasting over 80 million users globally.
