Chainlink's data standard and oracle infrastructure are now live on the Canton Network, marking a significant step in bringing regulated, institutional-grade tokenization to scale. The integration, announced on February 25-26, 2026, provides the Canton ecosystem with production-ready data rails essential for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization workflows.
The deployment includes Chainlink Data Streams, SmartData NAV/AUM feeds, and Chainlink Proof of Reserve. These services deliver real-time pricing, portfolio valuation, collateral verification, and asset-backing assurances directly into applications supporting lending, margining, settlement, and risk management for regulated markets. Canton has also gained access to Chainlink's recently launched 24/5 Equities Streams, designed to unlock onchain access to the approximately $80 trillion U.S. stock market through fast stock and ETF data.
Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is expected to follow shortly, enabling secure cross-chain transfers of tokenized assets. The integration builds upon an existing strategic Scale partnership between the two entities.
Canton, which launched its mainnet in May 2024, positions itself as a public blockchain purpose-built for institutional finance. The network claims to underpin more than $8 trillion in onchain RWAs and processes roughly $350 billion in daily U.S. Treasury repo transactions. Chainlink, the most widely adopted oracle network, reports having enabled over $28 trillion in transaction value.
Ecosystem partners are already using Chainlink's data standard in production. Key implementations include CBTC by BitSafe and Unhedged, as well as Thetanuts Finance, Kairo by AngelHack, and Temple. These firms are leveraging Canton's privacy and compliance features combined with Chainlink's data for use cases like onchain collateral, decentralized options, and privacy-preserving prediction markets.
Furthermore, Chainlink Labs serves as a Canton Super Validator, contributing to network governance, transaction sequencing, and the Global Synchronizer layer that bridges traditional financial systems with onchain infrastructure.
Executives from both sides highlighted the strategic importance. Eric Saraniecki, Co-Founder and Head of Network Strategy at Digital Asset, noted "positive momentum" as Canton adopts Chainlink standards. Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, called it "a defining step toward institutional finance operating fully onchain." The integration is backed by Chainlink's existing adoption by major institutions including Swift, Mastercard, Euroclear, Fidelity International, and UBS.
