Auckland, New Zealand is set to host its largest cryptocurrency and Web3 event to date with the launch of NZCryptoCon, scheduled for June 6-7, 2026. The inaugural convention, presented in partnership with digital asset exchange Swyftx as the official Naming Rights Partner, aims to bring together thousands of attendees from New Zealand, Australia, and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
The event is designed as a comprehensive platform for education, networking, and inspiration, featuring a multi-stage program with keynote presentations, panel discussions, exhibitor showcases, and curated networking experiences. Topics will span cryptocurrency fundamentals, blockchain innovation, regulation, security, decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, Web3 infrastructure, and the role of digital assets in the global financial system.
Dave Haslop, CEO & Founder of NZCryptoCon, emphasized the timing of the event, stating, "Crypto adoption in New Zealand is already mainstream. Research shows nearly half of Kiwis have owned, currently own, or are actively considering digital assets. The community is here, the momentum is real, and now it’s time for a major event that matches the scale of what’s already happening on the ground."
Swyftx, which recently became New Zealand's largest crypto exchange after joining forces with Easy Crypto, will play a central role in the event experience. A Swyftx spokesperson said, "We’re excited to partner with NZCryptoCon to help grow awareness and provide accessible, trusted knowledge about cryptocurrency to as many Kiwis as possible... A significant part of our focus is dedicated to raising crypto awareness, investing in education, and supporting opportunities that drive responsible adoption."
NZCryptoCon aims to connect the local ecosystem with the global digital asset industry, serving as an annual hub for founders, investors, builders, and newcomers. The event is expected to attract retail investors, developers, fintech professionals, startups, institutional players, policymakers, and students.
Early-release tickets are now available with limited-time launch pricing, with further announcements regarding speaker line-ups and detailed programs expected in the coming months.
