Prominent Bitcoin investor Fred Krueger has made a bold prediction that Bitcoin (BTC) will surpass its previous all-time high within the year 2026. He argues that achieving this new peak will have significant consequences for market narratives.
The predicted breakthrough would challenge the long-held theory that Bitcoin's price strictly adheres to a four-year halving cycle. Krueger also stated that persistent fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) surrounding quantum computing threats would fade into the background. Furthermore, he dismissed the bearish thesis that corporate holder MicroStrategy might be forced to liquidate its Bitcoin treasury, suggesting such fears would "die" with continued upward momentum.
Krueger recently countered gold bug and crypto skeptic Peter Schiff, who mocked Bitcoin during a minor correction. In response, Krueger highlighted Bitcoin's monumental returns since Schiff began criticizing it.
On-chain analyst Willy Woo supports the bullish outlook, stating that Bitcoin's underlying fundamentals are rapidly repairing. Woo identified the $80,000 price level as a critical psychological resistance and the key test for Bitcoin's next major leg upward.
Supporting data shows capital flows into the Bitcoin network have turned positive for the first time since January 2026. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a massive $816.9 million in net inflows last week, completely erasing the year-to-date deficit and signaling renewed institutional confidence. The market is described as healing from a catastrophic derivatives deleveraging event in late 2025, creating a more balanced structure for sustainable price trends.
