In a significant move for the Web3 infrastructure landscape, European cloud leader OVHcloud and developer platform giant Alchemy have announced a strategic relationship aimed at providing scalable, high-performance, and affordable infrastructure to blockchain developers worldwide. The partnership, announced on April 20th, 2026, will see Alchemy's multi-chain development platform built on OVHcloud's secure and decentralized cloud foundation.
Alchemy, which powers 70% of crypto applications and underpins over $4 trillion in annual on-chain transactions, will leverage OVHcloud's infrastructure to offer its suite of tools and Supernodes blockchain engine to decentralized application and chain developers. Omar Abi Issa, Global Director for Blockchain, Web3 and AI at OVHcloud, emphasized Alchemy's role as "one of the cornerstones of the blockchain industry," providing essential building blocks across multiple chains and ecosystems.
William Platt, COO of Alchemy, highlighted the practical benefits for developers, stating, "Infrastructure is the thing most developers don’t want to think about. Our customers range from startups shipping fast to institutions operating in highly regulated markets, like JP Morgan, Robinhood, Visa, Stripe and Coinbase... OVHcloud’s bare metal foundation lets us deliver that across regions at a price point that actually makes sense for Web3 builders."
The collaboration has already yielded tangible results, with OVHcloud's performance-price ratio enabling Alchemy to scale to new regions ahead of schedule, even in highly regulated markets. This acceleration helps developers globally launch decentralized apps and chains faster. The OVHcloud platform seamlessly interconnects with Alchemy's existing cloud infrastructure, creating a truly multi-cloud environment for the Web3 provider.
The relationship has roots extending back several years. OVHcloud initially collaborated with Bware Labs in 2022 to deploy Blast, one of the world's fastest blockchain API platforms. Following Alchemy's acquisition of Bware Labs in 2024, discussions between the teams revealed the "truly incredible potential" of a strategic partnership. Earlier this year, Alchemy supported OVHcloud's blockchain startup accelerator, fostering an ecosystem for co-innovation in next-generation blockchain services.
