Pi Network has announced a significant update to its Pi App Studio, introducing a new feature that allows creators to convert applications built with external AI coding tools into fully integrated Pi-native apps. The Pi Core Team shared the news via its official X account, emphasizing that this unlocks access to a “massive user base of over 60 million Engaged Pioneers.”
The update targets both technical developers and non-technical “vibe coders” who use AI-powered platforms like OpenAI’s Codex, Replit, Claude Code, Lovable, and Cursor. After building an app externally, creators can simply paste a link into Pi App Studio, provide the necessary details, and follow tailored instructions to copy and paste into the AI platform. The studio then automatically integrates the Pi SDK, handles authentication, enables Pi payments, and ensures compliance with network guidelines. According to the Pi blog, the entire process can take as little as two minutes, depending on app complexity.
This approach removes the need to reconstruct backend infrastructure. Creators can instantly connect to existing Pi services, including payment systems, identity verification, and decentralized human infrastructure. The Core Team described the update as “a bridge between app creation and real-world usage,” tackling the persistent challenge of how to attract actual users and process payments after building an AI-generated application.
The feature shifts the formula for creators: AI handles rapid prototyping, while Pi Network supplies the distribution channel, compliance layer, and monetization tools. The update also builds on last year’s introduction of Pi App Studio, reinforcing the project’s commitment to combining human creativity with AI support. The team encouraged all creators to begin using the new integration tools immediately, closing the gap between idea and market-ready product within the Pi ecosystem.
