Japanese financial group SBI is continuing its push to bring digital assets to mainstream investors by offering 1,000 yen worth of XRP to attendees of an upcoming investment seminar in Tokyo. The event, scheduled for June 30 at Yomiuri Otemachi Hall, is a collaboration between SBI Global Asset Management and the Yomiuri Shimbun Group, and aims to blend traditional financial education with hands-on cryptocurrency exposure.
Tomoya Asakura, President and CEO of SBI Global Asset Management, will deliver the opening presentation, discussing why markets remain resilient despite geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty. The session will also cover long-term investment strategies and portfolio diversification. Sayaka Aoki, a media personality and financial columnist, will join the second session to make the content accessible to younger and less experienced investors.
Only 333 physical attendees will be eligible for the XRP reward, which will be distributed through an active SBI VC Trade account. In-person participants will also receive complimentary refreshments and exclusive “Neko Pitcher” merchandise. Remote streaming is available, but only physical presence qualifies for the crypto and promotional benefits. Organizers emphasized that advance registration is mandatory due to limited capacity.
The initiative reflects SBI’s long-standing support for XRP-related services in Japan and its strategy of using regulated platforms and educational programs to introduce cryptocurrency to a broader audience, moving the conversation away from speculative trading toward structured financial planning.
