World Network has broadened access to AgentKit, a framework that allows verified users to connect autonomous AI agents to their digital identities through World ID. The rollout, announced on June 24, 2026, directly tackles the growing challenge of distinguishing software acting for a specific person from large-scale bot operations as AI agents take on more online tasks.
AgentKit links supported AI tools — including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Hermes, and OpenClaw — to a verified World ID. This lets websites and applications confirm that an agent is acting on behalf of a unique human, enforcing user-level rules and reducing automated abuse. Users need a verified World ID, a World App account, and a compatible AI agent to access the framework. Through World’s ToolRouter interface, they can create credentials and authorize their agents to interact with services, adding a proof layer that helps online platforms distinguish legitimate delegated activity from coordinated bot behavior.
To demonstrate the technology, World organized a sale of 500 limited-edition “Human in the Loop” hats. AI agents handled the entire purchase process — discovering the product, checking eligibility, navigating the storefront, and completing transactions — without direct user involvement. Identity verification remained active throughout, ensuring purchase limits were enforced on a one-person-per-item basis. All 500 hats were claimed by verified users in countries including the United States, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
The project, backed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, stated: “As AI agents become a larger part of how we interact with the internet, trust infrastructure becomes just as important as intelligence.” The launch follows a period of increased attention after major U.S. crypto trading platform Robinhood listed the World token, boosting the ecosystem’s visibility.
With agentic commerce on the rise, World’s bet is that proof-of-humanity can become a key part of the AI-crypto infrastructure stack, helping platforms filter real delegated activity from industrial-scale bot behavior.
