Ondo Finance has secured landmark regulatory approvals from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) for its SEC-registered broker-dealer subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets, to offer tokenized corporate equities and investment funds to U.S. institutional and retail investors under SEC and FINRA oversight. This milestone significantly broadens the company’s tokenized real‑world assets ambitions, permitting regulated primary offerings, secondary trading, private placements and over‑the‑counter transactions for blockchain‑based securities within the existing U.S. regulatory framework.
The approvals allow Oasis Pro Markets to tokenize National Market System equities, ETFs, mutual funds, index funds and IPO shares, with settlement in traditional fiat or supported stablecoins directly between blockchain wallets. By operating under SEC and FINRA supervision, Ondo aims to bridge conventional capital markets with digital asset technology while reducing onboarding friction through omnibus account structures that integrate with existing broker‑dealers and registered investment advisers.
The authorizations build on Ondo’s acquisition of Oasis Pro, which already held an SEC‑registered broker‑dealer, Alternative Trading System (ATS) and transfer agent (Oasis Pro TA) capable of managing on‑chain cap tables, shareholder records and cross‑asset collateral mobility. Together, these entities provide end‑to‑end infrastructure for issuance, trading, settlement and transfer‑agent services, positioning Ondo as a regulated gateway for tokenized U.S. capital markets.
