Key takeaways:

  • Upbit's KRW listing historically triggers sharp rallies, amplifying Morpho's short-term price momentum.
  • Trade restrictions signal anticipated volatility, offering scalping opportunities on listing day.
  • Ethereum-exclusive support reinforces ETH's DeFi dominance, potentially benefiting Morpho's liquidity.

Upbit, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has officially announced the listing of Morpho (MORPHO) against the Korean won (KRW). According to the exchange’s statement, MORPHO/KRW trading will commence on July 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM Turkish time (which corresponds to the local South Korean time).

The new trading pair will be supported exclusively through the Ethereum network for deposits and withdrawals. Upbit cautioned that trading support might be delayed if sufficient liquidity is not established after deposit and withdrawal operations begin.

To promote an orderly market launch, the exchange will implement several temporary measures. Buy orders will be restricted for the first 5 minutes after the listing goes live. During this same initial window, sell orders priced more than 10% below the previous day’s closing price will also be blocked. Additionally, only limit orders will be accepted for approximately the first two hours, with other order types unavailable.
