On-chain analytics platform Santiment has flagged a dramatic 500% increase in large transactions for the identity-focused project Humanity Protocol (H) over a single week, leading a list of altcoins experiencing extreme whale activity. The surge comes as a prominent Ethereum whale, address 0x2d59, staked 50,000 ETH worth approximately $93.6 million, adding to the accumulation narrative.
Santiment's report shows the number of $100,000+ transactions for H skyrocketed, placing it above other digital assets that also saw significant jumps: Wrapped Bitcoin on Optimism (440%), Maker’s MKR (400%), TrueUSD on Ethereum (400%), SPX6900 (238%), SwissBorg (200%), Rocket Pool’s rETH (200%), Worldcoin on Optimism (123%), Cronos (122%), and Ethereum Name Service (117%). The cross-sector nature of the activity—spanning DAO tokens, liquid staking derivatives, stablecoins, and nascent projects—suggests a broad rotation of capital rather than isolated speculation. Santiment explicitly warned that non-stablecoins on this list are likely to face “particularly high price volatility” as whale moves on thinner order books often trigger sharp directional swings.
Meanwhile, the Ethereum ecosystem received its own bullish signal. Whale 0x2d59, who had purchased 40,000 ETH for $76.66 million just a week earlier, staked the 50,000 ETH tranche hours after a similar accumulation. This move not only reduces circulating supply but indicates long-term confidence from a high-net-worth entity. Traders are keenly watching whether these transaction spikes translate into sustained on-exchange supply shifts, which could drive further price action across affected tokens.
