Marketnode has brought select Mellon Investments funds onchain using the Stellar network, a development aimed at giving institutional and accredited investors in the Asia-Pacific region tokenized access to established investment products. The announcement, highlighted in Marketnode’s social media and confirmed by commentary from CryptoTwitter analyst Nansen, underscores Stellar’s growing focus on regulated finance.
In its Q2 2026 report, Stellar emphasized efforts to convert institutional-grade infrastructure into practical distribution channels. Key technical components include Protocol 26 and the Circle CCTP, both intended to strengthen payments and asset-tokenization capabilities. The network recorded 4.9 million average daily transactions and surpassed $3 billion in tokenized real-world assets, figures that point to increasing scalability and institutional relevance.
The introduction of Confidential Tokens is also part of Stellar’s roadmap, with a focus on improving transaction privacy for professional participants. Although Stellar’s token had not exhibited a sharp immediate price move in the reports, traders are monitoring whether the tokenization of Mellon Investments funds and broader institutional adoption will bring new inflows and trading activity to the ecosystem. Regulatory alignment remains a central part of Stellar’s strategy as digital asset markets mature.
