Kraken has announced a series of app updates aimed at improving user experience and expanding trading flexibility. The exchange introduced a new Borrow feature that lets users buy additional cryptocurrencies without selling their existing holdings. This is designed to appeal to long-term Bitcoin holders and other investors who want to maintain exposure while accessing liquidity.
In addition, the Kraken Card now allows customers to pay with crypto and earn up to 2% back, strengthening its position in the crypto payments space. Kraken separately rolled out a simplified deposit feature powered by @meshpay, enabling users to deposit cryptocurrencies directly from other exchanges without manually copying and pasting wallet addresses. The feature currently supports Coinbase, with plans to add more exchanges over time.
The announcements come as the broader crypto market shows mixed signals. Kraken’s focus on user-friendly innovation reflects growing demand for more convenient and secure trading options. By reducing friction in deposits and expanding financial tools, the exchange could drive higher engagement, attract new traders, and increase trading volumes in a competitive landscape.
