Chainlink, a leading decentralized oracle network, has carried out another buyback of its native LINK token by moving 127,740 LINK — worth approximately $1.12 million to a dedicated reserve wallet. Blockchain tracker Onchain Lens reported the transfer, noting that the reserve now holds 5.48 million LINK, valued at around $48.5 million at current prices.
The average acquisition cost for the reserve's tokens is $11.14 per LINK. At press time, LINK was trading at $9.14, up 3.29% from the previous day, according to CoinMarketCap. The buyback is part of Chainlink's ongoing strategy to manage token supply and signal long-term confidence.
By accumulating LINK in a reserve, the project effectively reduces circulating supply, which can support price stability and strengthen token economics. The reserve may also be used for future ecosystem incentives, partnerships, or operational needs. Chainlink's oracle infrastructure remains critical to decentralized finance, providing price feeds and off-chain data to hundreds of protocols.
While the immediate price impact is modest relative to LINK's market capitalization of around $5.6 billion, the move reinforces a disciplined approach to capital allocation and signals that the project considers the token undervalued at current levels.
