Stablecoin markets recorded notable inflows over the past week, led by Tron and RLUSD. As of Aug. 17, 2026, Tron added $730.2 million in stablecoin market capitalization, outpacing Stellar's $64.7 million and Aptos' $36.2 million. Arbitrum One and Base followed with gains of $26.2 million and $25.6 million, respectively.
The expansion coincides with rising activity on Tron's network, which surpassed 394 million total accounts and 4.6 million active accounts in a 24-hour period. This user growth highlights increasing adoption of Tron as a venue for stablecoin transactions and decentralized finance activity.
Separately, RLUSD added $132 million in weekly stablecoin market cap, according to data highlighted by @tokenterminal. Other stablecoin gainers included rwaUSDi with $50.6 million, USDGO with $49 million, USDe with $32.7 million, and U with $32.4 million. The flows suggest traders are rotating into stable assets amid mixed signals across the broader cryptocurrency market.
The combined trend underscores increasing demand for stablecoins as both a hedging tool and a DeFi liquidity source. While price action across major cryptocurrencies remains uncertain, stablecoin issuance and network activity may provide clues about future market positioning.
