Hoskinson Unveils Cardano Master Plan: ‘We Need a New Narrative’ for Web3

Key takeaways:

  • ADA’s stagnation reflects market’s preference for hype over foundational infrastructure narratives.
  • Hoskinson's $10 trillion vision lacks near-term catalysts; watch for actual user onboarding metrics.
  • Cardano's undervaluation may persist until narrative shift materializes into real adoption data.

Cardano’s market position remains subdued even as the broader crypto market rallies, with ADA trading near the $0.18–$0.20 range and still down more than 90% from its all-time highs.

Against that backdrop, staking platform Everstake highlighted a message from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson outlining the network’s long-term roadmap. Hoskinson argued that onboarding billions of users and attracting trillions in capital requires a fundamental shift in how cryptocurrencies are presented and understood.

“If we want to bring $10 trillion in and billions of people in, we need a new narrative for cryptocurrencies. We need the narrative that it’s with you in life wherever you take it, and it makes life simpler, safer, more private, and easier for everybody,” Hoskinson said.

Everstake said Cardano is “in a league of its own” when it comes to building a platform capable of safely onboarding everyday users. The network’s emphasis on peer-reviewed security, consistent uptime, decentralization, digital identity, and private micro-transactions positions it as infrastructure for making Web3 invisible and intuitive, rather than chasing short-term hype.

The message framed Cardano’s current price action as disconnected from its long-term utility thesis, with Everstake adding that “the real adoption phase is just getting started.”
