The tokenized real-world asset market has reached a new milestone, with total value climbing to $44.5 billion and no single issuer controlling more than 10% of the market. Sky leads with $4.5 billion in tokenized assets, followed by Securitize and Ondo Finance, according to data highlighted by Token Terminal.
In parallel, Avalanche's aggregate tokenized RWA value has crossed $3 billion, a milestone that reflects an expanding institutional footprint rather than a single-day capital inflow. The largest contribution came from Progmat's $1.2 billion securities migration, while OpenTrade and Grove Finance added roughly $190 million and $260 million, respectively.
The broader RWA segment has grown by approximately 1,819.5% over three years, underlining a structural shift toward blockchain-based representation of Treasuries, credit products, securities, and money-market instruments. Avalanche's subnet architecture has been positioned as a venue for permissioned and compliance-oriented deployments, which are often required for regulated asset issuance.
While the milestones strengthen the institutional adoption narrative, Avalanche noted that network-level RWA value does not automatically translate into direct demand for AVAX. Long-term relevance will depend on settlement activity, liquidity, collateral use, and whether tokenized assets become actively integrated into DeFi rather than held passively.
Similarly, the growth of issuers such as Sky, Securitize, and Ondo Finance suggests a broadening market structure, but durability will hinge on regulatory developments, trading volumes, and continued institutional participation.
