CYBERLEEK, a Solana-based token tied to leaked Grand Theft Auto 6 footage, exploded 13x on Aug. 18 as hourly trading volume surged past $1.47 million. Five early wallets entered CYBERLEEK before retail interest accelerated and realized approximately $158,000, according to blockchain data.
The token later reached a $14.8 million market cap, while 24-hour trading volume climbed to $39.9 million. On-chain data from Bitquery shows CYBERLEEK began trading on Solana on Aug. 15 at 21:07 UTC, giving fast traders a narrow window before CyberLeek released GTA 6 gameplay footage carrying QR codes that promoted the project.
Bitquery's investigation indicates that parts of the operation were already in motion before the leak gained widespread attention. On Aug. 14 at 18:30 UTC, blockchain activity was recorded days before the frenzy accelerated, suggesting financial and web infrastructure was already being prepared. Before the leak gained traction, CYBERLEEK recorded hourly volume between $4 and $2,500, before rapidly expanding into seven-day trading activity of $22.7 million.
The timeline raises questions about whether CYBERLEEK was simply launched to capitalize on the GTA 6 leak or whether it was part of a coordinated operation from the start. The early trading activity and pre-positioned infrastructure point to a deliberately timed launch rather than a spontaneous reaction to viral gaming leaks.
