WhiteBIT Coin (WBT), the native token of the WhiteBIT exchange, has set a new all-time high around $72.5–$72.7, breaking its previous record of $64.11 from December 2025. The move extends a 28.3% gain over the past 12 months and places WBT among the top-10 cryptocurrencies by relevant market metrics. The milestone coincides with the fourth anniversary of WBT's launch and reflects a period of sustained platform expansion rather than a short-term price spike.
A central part of the story is the completion of WBT's scheduled supply unlocks as of 2026. With all token supply now unlocked, the circulating supply is no longer subject to future unlock-driven increases. However, WhiteBIT continues to operate a buyback-and-burn mechanism funded by 33% of trading-fee income and 5% of income from other exchange activities, with the stated long-term goal of reducing total supply toward 200 million WBT. This deflationary design adds a structural element to the token's record-setting price action.
WBT's utility spans both exchange services and blockchain infrastructure. On WhiteBIT, it provides trading-fee discounts, staking opportunities, referral rewards, and priority access to Launchpad activities. As the native gas token of Whitechain, WBT is also used to pay transaction fees on the network. Whitechain is transitioning from a standalone Layer 1 to an Ethereum Layer 2 built using the OP Stack, with its Sepolia testnet already live. WhiteBIT has stated that the transition will not create a replacement token and that WBT's supply and tokenomics will remain unchanged.
The record therefore arrives at an unusual point in WBT's lifecycle: the token has completed its scheduled unlocks, continues to experience supply reductions through burns, and has accumulated multiple utility functions since launching four years ago. The next phase for WBT will likely depend on whether activity across the exchange and Whitechain generates sustained demand for the token.
