Dogecoin held the $0.085 support level on Aug. 26 after a volatile push above $0.10 earlier in the week, keeping most of its weekly gain intact even as traders rotated into smaller dog-themed presale tokens. DOGE changed hands near $0.086–$0.088 after falling roughly 5% over the past day, but remained up about 23%–30% week-on-week. Its market capitalization stood around $14.8 billion, with 24-hour volume reported between $880 million and $1.4 billion depending on the source.
The rally was part of a broader crypto rebound tied to the US Treasury’s expanded bond buyback plan. By Saturday, DOGE had climbed from about $0.07 to above $0.10 before the current pullback. Derivatives data showed futures open interest rose from around $930 million in late June to $1.21 billion by mid-August, equivalent to about 17.2 billion DOGE — close to levels last seen in October 2025, when Dogecoin traded near $0.25.
In a notable test of demand, Nasdaq-listed CleanCore Solutions sold 463 million DOGE on Aug. 24 to help fund a $100 million push into AI data centers, according to CoinMarketCap. The market absorbed the block and still posted a strong weekly performance. Crypto analyst Trader Tardigrade outlined a near-term DOGE target of $0.38, based on a falling-wedge structure similar to setups before major moves in 2017 and 2020. The March 2026 SEC and CFTC classification of Dogecoin as a digital commodity, along with five spot funds trading since then, was also cited as supportive.
The meme-coin rotation spilled into dog-themed presales. Maxi Doge (MAXI), an Ethereum-based token, reported $4.85 million raised at a presale price of $0.0002835, with advertised staking rewards of 64% APY, a fixed supply of 150.24 billion tokens, and plans for CEX and DEX listings. Pepeto (PEPETO) was promoted as clearing more than $10.83 million in its presale, with 164% APY staking and an unlisted status that sponsors argued offered early entry before a planned Binance listing. These projects remain separate from Dogecoin’s live market performance but are positioned as direct beneficiaries of renewed meme-coin interest.
