Digital asset markets faced twin pressures on Aug. 29, 2026, as US spot Bitcoin ETFs snapped a nine-session inflow streak with $201.9 million in net outflows, while weekly NFT sales tumbled 44.7% to $63.33 million. Bitcoin traded near $77,500, down 2.9% over 24 hours, after failing to hold above $80,000 earlier in the week. The shift followed Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole speech, in which he said inflation remains above the central bank's 2% target and emphasized that policy should stay focused on prices.
According to Farside Investors, ARK 21Shares' ARKB led ETF withdrawals with $114.9 million, followed by Bitwise's BITB at $49.7 million, BlackRock's IBIT at $33.4 million and VanEck's HODL at $13.2 million. Morgan Stanley's MSBT partly offset the redemptions with a $9.3 million inflow. Despite the daily reversal, spot Bitcoin ETFs still attracted $924.5 million during the Aug. 24-28 week, leaving the longer-term inflow trend intact.
In the NFT segment, CryptoSlam data showed global sales fell from about $114.5 million to $63.33 million, even as buyer addresses rose 30.48% to 227,316 and seller addresses climbed 54.64% to 247,373. Transactions declined 14.13% to 802,330. Ethereum remained the leading NFT blockchain with $35.56 million in organic sales, down 49.01%, while Bitcoin ranked second with $8.68 million, down 59.53%. Polygon recorded $7.03 million in organic sales and $18.19 million in wash volume, while Solana was the strongest major network with an 11.17% sales increase to $1.91 million. High-value Bitcoin NFTs dominated the top sales, including a $2.14 million $X@AGI BRC-20 transaction.
Technical signals kept the $76,500-$77,000 support zone in focus. Bitcoin's 4-hour Chaikin Money Flow dropped to -0.14, and analysts said a failure to defend current support could expose the $72,000-$74,500 area. Ether changed hands around $2,440, and the global crypto market capitalization stood near $2.71 trillion, down more than 2% over 24 hours.
