Filecoin has started September with a sharp recovery, rising 13.73% in 24 hours and roughly 10.90% over seven days, according to market data. The token briefly traded above $0.80 before settling near $0.77 to $0.79, while daily trading volume reached about $243.25 million.
The rally made FIL one of the strongest performers among the top 100 cryptocurrencies on September 2, even as the wider market pulled back amid renewed US-Iran tensions. Over the past two weeks, FIL has added around 25%.
Technical analysts are now focused on a cluster of resistance levels. A confirmed breakout above $0.8055 could open a path toward $0.8582 and the $0.90 to $0.93 resistance zone. Crypto GVR described the $0.50 to $0.70 range as a potential reversal area, arguing that sustained recovery and stronger momentum may eventually support a longer-term move toward $2.
Another analyst, known as The Boss, highlighted a compressed descending wedge pattern, noting that a breakout from the upper boundary would be the first meaningful structural confirmation. JAVON MARKS offered a much more bullish perspective, suggesting that if FIL holds its breakout, it could target $2.94, followed by $7.50 and $11.40 in an extended reversal.
Some caution remains. Trader Mehmet GIZIK said he closed his FIL position with a $10,200 gain. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) briefly rose above 80 and remains above 70, which is generally considered overbought territory and may signal a short-term pullback. Lower open interest and persistent spot outflows could also limit the recovery if buying pressure weakens further.
