KuCoin Web3 Wallet Adds Intent Swaps and Limit Orders

Key takeaways:

  • Wallet-native intent swaps reduce MEV risk, likely driving self-custody trading volume away from browsers.
  • Offchain limit orders avoid gas and locked capital, improving capital efficiency for active retail traders.
  • Tokenized equities via Ondo in self-custody wallets bridges TradFi rails, expanding RWA adoption beyond exchanges.

KuCoin Web3 Wallet has upgraded its wallet-native trading stack by adding intent-based swaps and limit orders within a single self-custodial interface, according to its September 2, 2026 announcement.

The upgrade integrates UniswapX, PancakeSwapX, and 1inch, allowing users to trade supported crypto assets and tokenized real-world assets without moving between separate DApps. Eligible swaps routed through UniswapX and PancakeSwapX can use intent-based execution, where users define the desired result and third-party fillers or solvers compete to complete the trade. Depending on the route, users may receive broader liquidity access, competitive quotes, gas abstraction, and protection against adverse MEV including front-running and sandwich attacks.

Limit orders powered by 1inch let users set a target price and order expiry without continuously monitoring the market. These orders are cryptographically signed and remain offchain until filled, meaning no gas is committed while an order waits and no capital is locked in an onchain contract. Market and limit orders are available through the same wallet interface.

KuCoin also said the upgrade expands execution paths for eligible tokenized stocks, ETFs, and other supported real-world assets, subject to issuer requirements, user eligibility, network support, market availability, and liquidity conditions. This builds on an earlier addition of more than 260 Ondo tokenized US stocks and ETFs, including Nvidia, Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, and Amazon alongside gold, silver, and Nasdaq-linked products. KuCoin Web3 Wallet describes itself as a self-custodial multichain platform with access to over 1,000 DApps and a dedicated airdrop hub.
