Ripple has expanded its presence in U.S. college sports through a multi-year partnership with Florida Athletics, the University of Florida’s sports department. The agreement will bring XRP branding to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium beginning with the 2026 football season, with the XRP logo displayed on the field, across Florida Athletics digital properties, and on event signage.
Beyond visibility, the partnership includes financial and technology education for student-athletes and the campus community, covering traditional finance and digital assets. Although official financial terms were not disclosed, a source familiar with the deal told the Associated Press that Ripple is expected to pay approximately $5 million annually.
University of Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin said the partnership reflects the university’s history of embracing innovation and aims to introduce XRP to one of college sports’ largest fan bases. He added: 'Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we're excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation.'
The deal follows Ripple’s earlier sponsorship agreement with the Kansas Jayhawks, where an XRP patch will appear on jerseys — the first time a cryptocurrency will be displayed on the jerseys of a major collegiate sports program. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is a Kansas alum. Florida competes in the Southeastern Conference, supports 21 teams and more than 500 student-athletes, and has won 49 national championships across 16 sports.
