XRP Healthcare Halts XRPH Wallet Use After Unauthorized Transactions

Key takeaways:

  • Self-custody wallet breach highlights rising security risks despite broader XRP Ledger adoption.
  • Holders of XRPH and XRPHAI should freeze asset movement until official forensic updates.
  • Persistent wallet and hardware incidents reinforce need for institutional-grade custody solutions.

XRP Healthcare, an AI healthcare platform built on the XRP Ledger, issued an urgent security warning on September 4, 2026, after multiple XRPH Wallet users reported unauthorized transactions involving XRPH, XRPHAI and other assets. The project said it is aware of the incidents and the significant market impact that has followed, and it directed users to stop using the wallet until further notice.

The development team is urgently investigating how the wallets were compromised, tracing affected transactions on-chain, and working with relevant parties on possible freezing and recovery of affected assets. According to XRP Healthcare, multiple users have reported transactions they did not authorize, but the route of compromise remains unknown and the total amount of affected funds has not been disclosed.

XRPH Wallet is a relatively new and less widely used self-custody wallet in the XRP Ledger ecosystem compared with established options such as Xaman, formerly Xumm. The alert arrives during a year already marked by major DeFi exploits, exchange breaches, wallet data incidents and a reported cold-storage failure involving Coldcard. In a separate update, Trezor revealed that a recent data breach affected personal details of 67,000 U.S. customers who ordered between November 2019 and August 2021.

XRP Healthcare has promised to share additional information once its investigation confirms what happened. Until then, users remain dependent on the ongoing forensic review and any recovery actions that may become possible.
