XRP has become the focus of competing artificial intelligence price forecasts after a sharp rebound from around $1.25 to the $1.56 area. ChatGPT's base-case outlook puts XRP at $2.15 by December 2026, with a bullish scenario of $2.20–$2.50 if buyers clear the key $1.60 resistance. Google Gemini's conditional bull case is even more aggressive, projecting $5.50–$7.50 by January 1, 2027, and a stretch target near $8.50.
At the time of reporting, XRP was up about 4.45% in 24 hours near $1.56, recovering from roughly $1.25. A separate CoinGecko update showed XRP around $1.30 after the Senate blocked the CLARITY Act, down 6.6% for the week, before a short-squeeze rebound carried the price back toward $1.54. Traders view $1.60 as the main resistance; support sits near $1.54, followed by $1.40 and the $1.25–$1.35 demand zone.
Analyst Ali Martinez noted large holders accumulated 1.54 billion XRP worth about $2.2 billion in 96 hours, and described an inverse head-and-shoulders setup with a neckline near $1.55 and a measured move toward $2. Peter Brandt separately published a monthly chart with a potential $5.40 target, without a specific date.
Institutional developments are adding to the bullish narrative. Absa launched a digital-asset custody service using Ripple technology for institutional clients in Africa. Moscow Exchange listed XRP perpetual futures on September 22 alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and TRON; the cash-settled contracts track MOEX crypto indexes, are denominated in Russian rubles, and are restricted to qualified investors. More than 72,000 qualified investors have traded MOEX crypto-linked futures, with cumulative turnover above 600 billion rubles. Spot XRP ETFs have seen continued inflows, and Ripple maintains that XRP is a digital commodity.
The bearish scenario from ChatGPT places XRP at $1.20–$1.35 by December if the price fails at $1.60 and loses $1.40. Derivatives data shows about $655.5 million of XRP long positions at risk below $1.20. Google Gemini's aggressive targets assume the CLARITY Act setback is resolved and broader bull-market conditions return; otherwise, the $1.50 area must hold to protect the broader uptrend structure.
