Key takeaways:

  • KuMining's 5 EH/s sales signal broadening demand for BTC, DOGE, LTC, ZEC, KAS hashrate.
  • GPU/AI compute expansion could reposition KuMining as a diversified infrastructure play beyond crypto mining.
  • Watch upfront fees and daily USDT costs as cash-flow risks if mined coin prices decline.

KuMining, the cloud mining platform developed by KuCoin, has marked its first anniversary with more than $25 million in total sales volume, over 200,000 users, and cumulative Bitcoin hashrate sales above 5 EH/s across retail and institutional clients.

Launched with Bitcoin mining and merged DOGE/LTC mining, the platform now supports five Proof-of-Work assets: BTC, DOGE, LTC, ZEC, and KAS. Zcash was added in July 2026, followed by Kaspa in August 2026. KuMining provides access to physical mining rig computing power without requiring users to buy equipment or manage operations; partners handle infrastructure including electricity, cooling, and maintenance.

KuMining 2.0, introduced in March 2026, brought Lite Mode and Pro Mode. Lite Mode matches a user’s asset, budget, and service period to hashrate, while Pro Mode offers direct control and terms up to 360 days. Hashrate fees are paid upfront, while electricity costs are deducted daily in USDT through a dedicated Mining Account. Mined assets can be traded or used with eligible Earn services within the KuCoin ecosystem.

For its first anniversary, KuMining launched a campaign on September 22, 2026, with more than 100,000 USDT in rewards, including USDT, BTC, KAS, ZEC, DOGE, and LTC, fee coupons, and devices. Jolie Du, Chief Operating Officer of KuMining, said the company will continue strengthening infrastructure and explore extending the managed service model to GPU and AI compute offerings.
