Cardano (ADA) is holding a key technical level as its daily moving averages move toward the first major golden cross of 2026. ADA traded around $0.2482 to $0.256 on Sept. 25, up modestly on the day and roughly 21% over the past week, after rallying from a low of $0.19 on Sept. 16. The price remains above the 200-day EMA at $0.2392, a level it has mostly traded below since May's sharp reversal.
The daily 50 MA is rising and is days away from crossing above the daily 200 MA, which would confirm Cardano's first golden cross of 2026. The last daily golden cross occurred in August 2025, when ADA briefly reached $0.92 before forming lower highs and eventually printing a daily death cross in November 2025. A weekly death cross was completed in May 2026.
If the golden cross is confirmed, the bullish scenario puts near-term resistance at $0.28 and $0.30, with $0.42 possible on stronger buying pressure. Alternative scenarios include a failed breakout back below the moving averages, which would weaken the signal, or a consolidation after the cross. Derivatives data showed longs absorbed $599,670 of the $944,250 in ADA liquidations over the past 24 hours.
