Ripple’s institutional push in South Korea is widening as leading Korean financial institutions prepare to appear at XRP Seoul 2026. The official speaker list for the Oct. 3 conference at Grand Hyatt Seoul confirms representatives from Woori Bank, Kakao Bank, Kyobo Securities and Kbank will share the stage with Ripple President Monica Long and RippleX SVP Markus Infanger, among other Ripple executives.
The agenda moves beyond general cryptocurrency discussion, with sessions on institutional adoption on the XRP Ledger, tokenized assets, institutional DeFi, RLUSD cross-border payments and institutional XRP management.
Woori Bank will be represented by senior manager Seunghoon Han, while Kakao Bank is sending manager Leo Lee. Kyobo Securities Executive Director Heejin Shin and Kbank digital-asset TF lead Jaehyuk Choi are also listed as speakers. Their participation underscores how Korean banks are moving beyond crypto experiments.
Kbank has already been working with Ripple on blockchain-based overseas payments and testing digital-asset infrastructure for international transfers. South Korea has also been exploring tokenized government bond settlement using Ripple infrastructure, positioning Ripple’s role beyond payments and into capital-market infrastructure.
The event’s institutional focus is especially visible in its programming. A 30-minute panel will examine how traditional finance is adopting asset tokenization, followed by sessions on the future of tokenized assets and institutional DeFi built on XRPL. Additional panels cover RLUSD and cross-border payments, institutional XRP management, and the future of XRP and the XRP Ledger.
Ripple has also been expanding its Asian tokenization stack through integrations such as Ripple Custody and SettleMint, giving regulated institutions infrastructure for issuing, custodying and managing tokenized assets.
