Cardano, Solana, XRP and Dogecoin Face Key Resistance in Early October

Key takeaways:

  • ADA's 25% September rally faces a decisive $0.30 test, where failure could trigger 15% retracement.
  • SOL's stronger momentum versus XRP and DOGE may attract rotation if $124 resistance breaks.
  • Rangebound XRP and DOGE suggest capital favors ADA and SOL, raising support-break risks.

Cardano (ADA) and Solana (SOL) finished September with gains, but early October price predictions show both assets still facing unresolved resistance. ADA climbed about 25% in September, from around $0.197 to near $0.246, continuing a higher high and higher low structure since June. The key breakout level for October is $0.30, a level that has capped repeated advances since February 2026. A sustained move above $0.30 could open a path toward $0.40 and the 2026 high near $0.43, with $0.50 possible only in an aggressive bullish scenario. If ADA retreats, the ascending trend line implies a decline of roughly 15%, potentially retesting near $0.21. A breakdown below the trend line could expose $0.17, $0.14, and $0.13.

Cardano’s Dijkstra upgrade is a potential October catalyst. The first phase is targeted for late 2026, subject to governance approval, with Linear Leios designed to expand transaction capacity. Favorable ETF decisions and increased DeFi usage could also bolster ADA demand.

Solana gained approximately 14.6% in September, from about $103 to near $118, extending a recovery that began in August. The October outlook hinges on support at $109 and resistance at $124. A successful defense of $109 could lead to another test of $124, and a sustained breakout there could target $148 by month-end. If $109 fails, SOL may drop toward $95, with a further breakdown risking $85. On October 2, SOL traded between $116 and $123, with RSI at 60.289, Stochastic at 32.854, MACD at 0.132 and Ultimate Oscillator at 52.948. Solana’s indicators were stronger than those of XRP and Dogecoin, but the price still needed to clear resistance.

Solana’s catalysts include the SEC’s September 17, 2026 conditional exemptions for certain onchain stock trading, the Alpenglow upgrade targeting transaction finality around 150 milliseconds, and spot Solana ETF inflows. However, uneven ETF demand and competition from Sui and Aptos may limit upside.

Elsewhere, XRP remained rangebound between $1.47 support and $1.54 resistance. A sustained break above $1.54 could open $1.62, while losing $1.47 may bring $1.43 and then $1.39 into view. XRP’s RSI at 53.168, Stochastic at 32.418, MACD at −0.007 and Ultimate Oscillator at 54.34 pointed to mixed momentum. Dogecoin traded between $0.091 and $0.10. A break above $0.10 could target $0.106, while a break below $0.091 may lead to $0.087 and $0.084. DOGE’s indicators showed only a modest positive bias, with RSI at 54.468, Stochastic at 36.787, MACD rounded to 0, and Ultimate Oscillator at 51.95.
