Upbit operator Dunamu has expanded its AI-powered analytics platform at the same time South Korea’s major exchanges opened local markets for two AI-focused tokens. Upbit Data Lab introduced AI Market Report and Uptrace, while Bithumb and Upbit listed Talus (US) and Dolphin (POD) on Oct. 2.
AI Market Report produces weekday videos of no more than 90 seconds, drawing on major asset prices, gainers and losers, sentiment indicators and the Upbit composite index. Reports are published at 10 a.m. KST through Upbit Data Lab and Upbit’s official YouTube channel. Uptrace is more asset-specific: it compares price data with related news and places diamond-shaped markers on charts so users can view AI-generated explanations of events linked to price movements.
Dunamu also reorganized its existing AI News Briefing into Real-time Issues, which ranks news by underlying issue, and Topic NOW, which tracks developing stories in summaries of three paragraphs or fewer. The additions follow earlier Data Lab features, including technical indicators in May, U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether ETF flow tracking in June, and an asset screener in August. Dunamu’s chief data officer said the tools are meant to help users process data in a market that ‘moves around the clock’.
On the listings side, Bithumb opened Talus trading against the Korean won at 3 p.m. KST with a reference price of KRW37.85. Deposits are supported only through Sui. Upbit scheduled Dolphin trading for 4 p.m. across KRW, BTC and USDT markets, with reference prices at KRW428, 0.00000367 BTC and 0.3147 USDT; POD deposits use Base only. Both exchanges applied typical controls: buy restrictions for the first five minutes, limits on low-priced sell orders, and limit-only trading for roughly the first two hours.
Talus is an onchain AI-agent platform using the Sui Move stack and Nexus framework, with its US token used for service pricing, staking and governance. Dolphin focuses on distributed AI inference by pooling unused GPUs, with POD used for staking and bonding; Poloniex had listed POD in May. CoinGecko data showed Talus up about 40% over 24 hours near $0.0376 and Dolphin up roughly 115% near $0.6765, though the Korean listing effect could not be isolated from broader trading.
Broader Dunamu activities include an August partnership with Visa to explore stablecoin payments and agentic commerce, approval to access South Korea’s government administrative information system for KYC, and a police contract for seized-asset custody via Upbit Custody. Dunamu’s planned share exchange with Naver Financial was delayed to Dec. 31 pending regulatory approvals.
