Crypto markets are bracing for a heavy wave of token unlocks in the final quarter of 2026, with data from CryptoRank projecting that several altcoin projects will release tokens previously allocated to investors, team members, and early supporters. These peak unlocks can sharply expand circulating supply in a short window, raising concerns about selling pressure and volatility.
According to CryptoRank, Monad (MON) faces the largest of the scheduled unlocks at roughly $521 million, a figure equivalent to about 131.6% of its current market capitalization. It is followed by STABLE with approximately $353 million in tokens set to be released. Other notable unlocks include KITE at $119 million, LIT at $52 million, PIEVERSE at $46 million, and ALLO at around $43 million.
Separately, blockchain commentator WuBlockchain highlighted that more than $1.913 billion worth of tokens are scheduled for major unlocks within the next month. The list includes HYPE, BTW, and ENA, with one-time unlocks exceeding $10 million for certain assets. Traders are expected to monitor whale movements and wallet activity closely, as large unlocks may increase liquidity and influence price action in the affected tokens.
