Cryptocurrency whales have accumulated approximately $3.6 million worth of PUMP tokens, according to on-chain data from Lookonchain. Two large wallets together pulled in 572.56 million PUMP tokens as the token extended a powerful rally.
The first whale, known as "netherlol", purchased 383.34 million PUMP worth about $2.4 million. Lookonchain noted this was the trader's first PUMP purchase in more than a year. A second wallet, GnZqfY, withdrew 189.22 million PUMP, valued at roughly $1.18 million, from the cryptocurrency exchange MEXC. The intentions behind the second wallet's move remain unclear, as the buyer may not hold the tokens long term.
The combined accumulation of $3.58 million represents about 3% of PUMP's roughly $121.4 million in 24-hour spot trading volume. According to CoinGlass, PUMP was trading near $0.006426, up about 18% over the past 24 hours. The token has gained around 46% in seven days, 294% over 90 days, and more than 235% since the start of 2026, lifting its market capitalization to roughly $3 billion.
Derivatives activity has been even stronger. PUMP futures recorded more than $1.04 billion in 24-hour volume, approximately 8.6 times the spot market's turnover. Open interest stood at $672.28 million, while about $3.14 million in leveraged positions were liquidated over the prior day, with shorts accounting for roughly 78% of those liquidations.
The volatility cuts both ways. On Oct. 3, Lookonchain reported that a sudden PUMP price drop liquidated two large traders holding 707.6 million PUMP, worth around $3.61 million at the time. Meanwhile, notable trader Machi Big Brother has made multiple profitable PUMP trades recently, including a long position closed on Sept. 30 with about $827,000 in realized profit.
