KuCoin has reinforced its security and onchain connectivity with two announcements: a CCSS Level 3 certification for wallet management and mainnet launch support for Arc, enabling direct USDC transfers.
On September 24, 2026, KuCoin said its Wallet Management Services had upgraded from CCSS v8.1 Level 2 to Level 3 – Full System Certification. The company stated that Level 3 strengthens controls throughout the cryptographic key lifecycle, including generation, storage, access, backup and recovery. KuCoin added that the certification brings greater separation of responsibilities, more rigorous access and personnel controls, regular testing of key-compromise response procedures, broader independent assurance and continual backup of operational logs.
On September 16, 2026, KuCoin announced it was live on Arc as a mainnet launch partner, allowing eligible users to move USDC directly between KuCoin and Arc from day one. KuCoin said the integration reduces steps for users to access supported applications on Arc and gives businesses and institutions an additional route for funding onchain workflows with USDC.
BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin, said: “Trust is not established through a single certification; it is a system that must be continually tested, validated and improved.” He added that early exchange support helps establish accessibility, trust and market connectivity for traditional and onchain finance. KuCoin's assurance framework includes SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC certifications covering information security, privacy, business continuity and responsible AI management.
